Happy New Year...4 weeks in.

Okay, okay I'm a little late on the New Year's post, but what can I say, we've been busy. We're going to have some exciting things happening in the Index Division this year, beginning with a brand new product...Tax Prep Tabs.Technically, these tabs are for accountants and tax professionals that deal with a lot of tax returns on a daily basis. But really, these can be used by anyone, because we all have to do taxes! If you'd like to find out more, go here. Believe me, I'll be the first to tell you that organizing everything for your tax return is not easy to do, but Tax Prep Tabs are an easy way to make tax time a little easier.

  1. A tax preparer who is "reviewing" a return would need (smallish) tabs that say "A," "B," "C," "D," . . . "6251," "STMT-1," STMT- blank" - tabs that match the SCHEDULES in a Form 1040. A tax return reviewer constantly has to go back and forth between the schedules to follow where the figures are coming to/from. The same tabs are useful for marking the pages for high-end clients for whom one needs to walk-though the tax returns "over the phone." One can then just refer to the tabs. So tabs that just say "federal" - that is just for the first page. One does not really need that much. Thanks for listening. If you need to contact me - just leave a message on your blog. 2. Long Beach CPA,
Thanks for your input! We obviously aren't experts on tax returns, so we appreciate any help we can get! Anyway, what I'm understanding from your info is that the "State" and "Federal" tabs are only useful for the top page of tax return. After that first page, subsequent, more specific, tabs would be needed for each return. Would those more specific tabs be identical for each return, or would each person's tax return need different tabs? We offer the "State" and "Federal" tabs along with our blank Rite-On tabs that could be customized by the user. Maybe that could be a possible solution. Feel free to shoot me an email and info@indexingtabs.com I'd like to hear more about how to make these tabs better. Thanks!
